About Us

Red Rose School

The school admits children from the Kindergarten to Grade/standard eight and is a certified National Examination Center ( Registration No. 20410031). A dedicated team of 14 trained teachers and supporting staff of five is ever present to facilitate the feeding program, ground maintenance and other activities.
Just like any other Institution, the school has its own fair share of challenges. There is a feeding program in place whereby the school provides break and lunch (Monday-Friday). Most of these students can’t afford decent meals back at home thus relying on this daily ratio. These also helps in making sure that the kids are in school and don’t skip sessions due to hunger.
With the escalating food prices, the school faces a lot of challenges when budgeting due to lack of sufficient funds. It is on this regard that any form of support that may come forth will highly be appreciated. We appeal to any relevant body for CSR activities as these will help the kids learn more about life, share experiences and boost their self-esteem.

Red Rose has a very strong background in co-curricular activities. The school has a team of talented performing arts pupils. This was evident when they clinched the top prize in 2012 and 2013 choral and solo verse primary school’s category during the 4th and 5th Annual Children of Kibera Music Festivals. They also have a robust scouts’ movement and upcoming soccer/rugby players some of whom have been scouted to feature in Kenyan Rugby league courtesy of Shamas Foundation. A good number of the students also belong to LitWorld Boys and Girls Clubs where they attend sessions to improve on their literacy skills, discuss health and other social topics as a way of building their self-esteem.

When it comes to academics, we have been fortunate enough to produce top- performing students who have been enrolled to prestigious schools in the country such as Precious Blood, Asumbi Girls and Rapogi boys, Makueni girls, just to mention but a few.
